The situation

Macanta provides a CRM platform that its clients run their businesses on. One of those clients needed to sell memberships and take balance payments, choosing membership level and payment method quickly, and the platform had no surface for it. Macanta needed a sales tool that sat between its software and the eventual payment page.

What we built

Macanta supplied a Balsamiq mock-up; Leanware returned a written understanding of the scope before building, so both sides agreed on the deliverable up front. The tool was then built on Macanta’s Instant Wholesale Service environment using AWS Lambda functions, with a dedicated URL for the sales flow and an admin section in the backend where the client sets up new products and payment pages. The engagement included 90 days of post-launch support.

Outcome

  • Membership and balance-payment sales flow live and load-bearing for the end client

  • Delivered on budget, with the partnership continuing into new projects

The end client runs its membership and balance-payment sales through the tool; per Macanta’s Clutch review, that side of the business would not operate today without it. The build stayed on budget, with changes handled cleanly, and the relationship continued into further projects. The review scores 5.0 across all categories and specifically credits the discipline of sticking to budget when requirements hold steady.

"We are impressed by their ability to stick to the budget, provided that we stick to the requirements."
